sightseeing
Warsaw before II World War was called a "Paris of the East". Most of city destroyed was during II World War. After the war it was rebuilt. Now Warsaw is a modern europe capitol populated by almost 3 mln people. Lots of skyscrapers, motorways and decent street taxis and public transport.1. What is worth seeing
Warsaw is full of charming gardens and parks, palaces, museums and monuments of culture. I recommend you to visit:
- Royal Castle
- National Museum
- The Royal Lazienki Museum and Park
- Warsaw Rising Museum
- Museum Of The Polish Army
- POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews
- Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów
2. Sightseeing Warsaw by bus
If you want to ride through Warsaw and see the most important points, I would recommend a special double-deck tour bus, whose route passes through the center of Warsaw. It is a bus that you can drive from one point to another. It works on the principle of "hop on - hop off", so hop on where you want and hop off wherever you want. On the bus ride you have to buy a ticket. Day Travelcard for 24 hours costs 15 euros and for 48 hours costs 20 euros. During the ride, you have the option to use multilingual guide who talks about places that you pass during your bus tour.
